My old man has a 52 plate c200 kompressor. not too sure about economy, but it pulls ok i suppose (for a heavy car with an engine running many ancillaries) Its nothing mind blowing mind you.
But the supercharger whine.......... sounds great

I've driven a 2002 C200 K once. Pulls very nicely, great torque and no lag at all. Feels like a much bigger n/a engine.
On a long trip with 90% motorway driving at 80 - 105 mph (Autobahn) it returned 35 mpg. Not sure what it will be like round town. I guess it should'nt be to hard to get 30 mpg out if it.

I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!
I not long ago got rid of my 1996 C230 Kompressor.
I don't know what mpg i was getting but if driven sensibly it wasn't bad at all but on the other hand, driven hard it just chewed fuel. Not much help i know but it was better on fuel than i was expecting to be honest when i wasn't caning it.
Mine was quite quick but got quite boring quite quickly apart from in the wet where it was driven more sideways than anything
