Lee,
I think this saff is special, especially with it's mods, the comps Max has fitted & AP 6pots too recently, don't see the need to be spending 22-25k on a 500 mate tbh.:

So on thinking this i did decide to go for a cossie but finding a proper mint, nicely modded one these days is like trying to knit fog.. so i thought to myself, why not drop Max a PM about my old Saff and see if he'd consider selling.
Now as you all know this saff is probably one of the nicest left today, tastfully modded, no rust etc and i know the car, Max has done/is finishing off some nice mods to it of his own and it's as good,if not better than when he bought it a while back.
So, cut to the chase cus i'm waffling, Max & i have shook on a deal and the deposit is with him tomorrow so it'll be on it's way back to Coventry again..where hopefully it might stay with an owner for a year..
Regards Pete....

Lots of respect for someone who sells his pride and joy to ensure someone's health.
I'm guessing you'll be having a "Welcome Home Party" when you drive it back home.
Must be a great feeling knowing that you've probably got the most sought after Cossie in the UK. Well, just think what it's turned over in cash during the last year ! ! ! ! !
M5 Still running great, and still putting a smile on my face, just not quite as big as the cossie did, but I needed to stay with something practical (Relatively Speaking........5 liter, 22mph, 400bhp.........LOL).
Congratulations on your father in laws recovery, and on getting my pride and joy back.
Looking forward to seeing some new pics.

Yep...........But have to admit to having more money in my pocket since it's gone. Even taking into account I'm driving the M5........Reliability is outstanding, and I do use it to it's potential.
But Yep........Once you've had a good cossie, then it's hard to get them out of your system, so I totally understand Pete's reasons for buying it back.

Lee,
One of my reasons for having it back tbh mate, i spent a few quid on her with the Autronic ecu etc, now Max with the Comps and AP 6pots...
Plus trying to find a good one now is like trying to knit fog..
Only 2 cars i regret selling is this & my 10k miles 22b, that was stunning..

Everytime I went into the garage I would think of something that could be upgraded on her.......With the M5 it's too expensive to upgrade anything.......LOL.
I'm sure today I saw a new GT30 Turbo flying overhead with Pete's address on it........LOL, LOL, LOL.
PETE : "You Know What"........No Probs.

I tell what i drove the otherday and was impressed, the ZM Coupe, felt bloody quick to be fair, very impressed, just wasn't sure on it's look tbh..
But the Saff is just silly really, after Mark had mapped it, i remember coming home with the Anti-Lag on and it was spinning in 3rd gear, scary..

The Z "M" is quite a car, and the shape grows on you. It's an enthusiasts car. But the Saph is a Petrol Heads Car, and is now at the point where it won't depreciate. I'm sure you'll get the same money or more in a couple of years, where-as the BM will depreciate.
I think you've got a sound investment in the Saph, and don't think it'll loose a penny from now onwards.

I'm undecided at the moment.....Strangely enough I did speak to Maxest a couple of weeks ago about the saph....... We were close to an agreement, but not close enough. Totally happy she's back in your hands though.
M5 is great, but I do get an itch to get something which is more " Petrol Head "........but it's hard to find anything that would be close to the Saph.
TVR Tuscan's keep tempting me, but I need to find one that's had an engine swap to something more reliable than the Speed Six Engine. Have heard of a couple that have been fitted with the E46 M3 engine and are proving very reliable and great performance due to the Power to Weight Ratio. But still happy to keep the M5 at the moment, it just lacks that enthusiast following like the Cosworths have.

Jim,
Don't you fancy something like a MID-ENGINED beast of sorts??
I must admit, the Tuscan is a stunning looking car and the sound of TVR`s is awesome, but as said, reliabilty seems to always be an issue..

You've been reading my mind.......Shhhhhhhhhh. I am seriously considering a Clio V6 (Mid Engine) Phase 2 Car (Handling Improved over Phase 1). They put out 255bhp, and the handling is better than most people are capable of exploiting, but they aren't as quick (Acceleration) as they could be. I would want at least a genuine 320 - 350bhp, to get it anywhere near the performance of the Saph, which would require a turbo/supercharge. It is a very good possibility though if I see the right car. Not many tuning companies have gone to this extreme though, but I know that the engine is capable of handling this power, it's just finding someone with the technical knowledge to do the conversion.
