Thats the way to get repeat custom, nice business plan you have there Mike ![Surprised](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/bigcry.gif)
Trouble is it seems to have worked

Nah it is not that bad, just you really have to slip it out, sometimes worse than others as I said though!
When we had the engine out again we had the flywheel refaced, it was great a couple of months, then went back to how it was again!
Could it be wearing unevenly or something Mike?
When we took the flywheel in to be done he instantly said "Ooh been doing lots of launches have we?" Which was not right, as Pops never launches it
It had burn/scorch marks over it tho Mike?
Any ideas?

I'm afraid to say it is down to your Dad's driving style. You must avoid slipping the clutch at ALL costs. If driven like a normal clutch, then it will do what you have described. Avoid any hill starts (when getting on ferries etc, I'll actually not even attempt to go up the boarding slope until it is clear to the peak, as that is one way to INSTANTLY cause what you describe).
I always take the car out of gear at the lights as well and try to avoid hill starts where-ever possible.

Mike,
If you drive it like a normal clutch you will stall, to avoid stalling you have to slowly let it out!
Always use handbrake, and never "ride" the clutch etc.
From putting it in gear, and setting revs, how long does it take you to have it fully engaged then Mike? And what revs do you put in to acheive this?
