Default Another MTB thread! Help!!

Ive got a trek 69 hard tail and im wanting 2 up the size of the brake disks, now ive found they do disks up 2 203m which is what i want but a couple of questions!
does having the same size disks on the front and the rear a good thing or is it like a car where u want more brakeing at one point??
also how would u fit bigger disks using the same caliper? ither space the caliper out with washers or can u buy new caliper brackets that push them out more ?? (ive looked but can seem 2 find any??)

o buy the way my brakes are Avid Juicy !!

cheers in advance guys!

Why do you want 203's? - complete overkill in this country... (I do have 203's on my Yeti... - juicy 7's)
You need the appropriate spacer to fit the caliper btw!

OK, if you really want 203's, then crc or wiggle are probably going to be your best bet..
Just remeber that bigger brakes will be more prone to being hit on things..

You also need to check the the frame forks are rated to take 203's, as some won't be!

I personally prefer the hopes on my hardtail to my jucies - more progressive, and less "snatchy".. Oh, and in south wales (presume you're going to cwncarn?) you won't even get a 160mm rotor to fade! - the decents are FAR too short!
