Default Nokia N95 8GB - internet usage costs

I dont understand all this WAP, GPRS etc.. I have heard the N95 runs sat nav, pretty useful for when I am walking to meetings etc in central london. Question is.. Will I get charged when the Sat Nav is turned on?

Thanks

I'm on T-Mobiles Flext contract and pay £35 a month. Never been stung any extra for net use. Never even used all my free budget.

Wifi - Free if you connect to your router at home, easily proved, take the sim card out and put another dead one in,

Public Wifi, such as "The Cloud" costs, make sure you stipilate when speaking to O2, thanks

and yes you will get charged to download the map data, easy fix, install tomtom and install the internal n95 gps fix which allows the internal gps antenna to work with tomtom now, presto, free sat nav

thanks

Get yourself the Nokia Maploader. (Find it via google, its free)
Install it on your pc and download the maps and voices.
Then you use the maploader to install them onto your phone via the cable.
Then next time you run google maps on your phone tell it NOT to connect to get the maps and it will just grab them from memory and not cost anything, and is alot quicker loading too

ok the problem is you ahve listened to a bloke that works in a call center.

just look around on websites like www.fish4jobs.com www.employment2go.com etc. and see just how qualified you need to be to get a job answering a phone.

now... yuo understand your mistake now?

what you will have connected to is either:

o2's broadband wifi service (unlikely)
O2's GPRS/3G service (most likely)

this is where your charges are coming from, internet use using their services.

how can they charge you for using your own service, you alredy pay your ISP for that
