what diff does a 4x4 cosworth use? 7 or 7 1/2?

need to get a replacement 7" for the westy but want to know if the 4x4 cossy ones will fit as well as the xr4x4 ones

also how much would you expect to pay for one? and anyone got one they want to flog?

same diff as in XR4x4 (2.9) and you can pick up a complete car for about 50quid... much cheaper than paying Ł100+ on ebay for a "cosworth" diff ps theyre 3.62

the 2.0 XR4x4 (and 4x4 ghias etc. etc.) are also LSD but they use a shorter ratio 3.9 iirc

 

dont really want a short ratio although saying that, its probably what i have in there now the car tops out at about 140mph running a t5 and 16" rims

this sound like the 3.9?

is it on the case anywere?

oh and jim, cant find any cheap xr4x4 diffs at the mo, the ones on ebay all want about Ł80, although thats cheap enough i guess so i should stop being so dam tight

yes it did... again, same diff...

daren i didnt say buy the diff, i said buy the WHOLE CAR you can pick up a shitter for either FREE or <100quid and there are some goodies on there worth nickin just incase, or break it for a few quid... a lot of the partws are interchangeable with cosworth so they fetcha few ŁŁŁ on ebay...

 

well please show me where these free xr4x4s are then cause im fooked if i can find them

 

lennie just got one for 100quid and claimed the tax back for 90quid, os that cost hima tener my mate stu's been GIVEN about 4 of them...

i kept getting offered them for <100quid/free (but didnt accept, nowhere to put one)

 

well if ya get offerd anymore give us a bell as i have shit loads of room and lots of kitcars to drop the engines into

 

youre welcome to my diff, it dont whine, but i think the VC needs an overhaul, coz it often spins only one wheel

as i'm getting my replacement diff (out of a 2.9 XR4x4... lol) fitted ASAP
