i would drive it gentle off boost, dont let the engine labour.revs are better than labour. dont sit on motorway at the same continious revs. plenty of oil changes.

vary engine revs, use a little boost, 5-10 psi, this forces the rings into the bore to bed in...

dont be affraid to rev it, i used up to 5k on mine, but just be steady, build it up.....

500 change oil,500 change to proper oil and renew filter.

remember, its only the rings your running in, nothing else needs it...

as above Pete, dont sit a constant revs as bores will glaze and it will smoke- then you will have to show it some throttle. Hope it runs well for you mate.

I ran myne in on mineral oil for about 400-500miles, first 5miles or so were easyish, changed the oil and filter straight away. then changed it every 100miles.
just followed this guide but with next to no boost at all!

Depends quite a lot on how it was honed and what ring pack material and tolerances are used.

Any reputable engine builder will be telling you quite clearly what he expects, so just ask him mate. Nobody on here i warrantying your engine are they, so who cares what we think?

as for my newest yb build i ran it for 10 mins at 3000 rpm to bed cams in then dropped the oil, drove to test station steady away then after 50 miles started giving it some boost, not a lot mind. At 200 miles i were reving to 5000rpm at 20 psi then at 300 miles she were getting full bag of boost to the red line. And i have a perfect running engine.
