Default Please Help A Mint S1 Turbo Back On The Road

Hello all, My pal just bought a mint s1 turbo with a few little minor probs, but got them all ironed out except this weird noice from the motor .When you are revving it on the way up the revs its fine ,it is coming back down the revs it is there. Now I wasnt sure what it was ,sounded almost like a inlet manifold gasket or a sticky lifter so changed both exhaust and inlet and a set of lifters and the is still there PLEASE HELP ALL SUGGESTIONS WELCOME

hold on, if he has no idea whats wrong with it, and i'm assuming he does not have proper diagnostic and monitoring equipment, how is he gonna fix it based on a few comments on an internet BB?

especially with a description like "it makes a funny noise"

NOBODY here can answer that question properly

You could eliminate a faulty injector by changing it it to another cylinder and see if the plug fouls up on that cylinder.

It is very difficult to say what it could be though without hearing the noise.

sounds like either a vaccum leak or fuel/electric circuit.

check pipes
check silver and black relay under drivers side dash

does it have a dump valve, these can cause a lot of probs. if yes, take it off and blank the hole, see if it cures it!

any pics matey?
