sony sat against tomtom?
hello, i posted abit back about my tomtom 710 just stopped working swithed it off one day and then went to switch it on and nothing tryed all the stuff that tomtom said try and nothing? and i think this is a problem with tomtoms as looking on ebay ive seen a few for sale as faulty with the same problem as mine! im off to france soon and might look at sony sat navs has anyone got one and can tell me what there like , or they as good as a tomtom

i take it you tried the reset button?
also i dont know how old it is, but they had a problem with the chargers overcharging and blowing them, have a search on google about it.
if thats the case buy a new type charger and get it repaired, last one i got repaired cost £50.

mate i work at halfords and i have never sold a sony. When someone asks me to explain the different sat navs sony doesnt get a mention (along with route66/LG's/Navmans ). Stick with tomtom (perhaps the new 730 as thats the 2008 upgrade of the 72o which was the upgrade to the 710) or the garmin 760?
