I was wondering which power/torque can you expect with a stock engine, only 803s and straight exhaust ? T3 at 22psi (can it handle more?).

rwd or 4wd T3? Seems to make about 10bhp difference.
getting the boost up isnt the problem, its holding onto it, that turbo simply wont flow enough air to hold onto anything much past about 1.5bar really.
320-330 is the absolute ragged edge of what it will manage from what Ive seen.

You can get a 343bhp from a hybrid T3 with a 60 trim compressor. This achieved a best standing quarter of a 12.892 @ 111mph at Santa Pod way back in October 1996. However, obviously this was on the old benzine super-unleaded 98 RON. Also, this was live mapped on an engine dyno. There is no way you would get this power with a generic off the shelf chip.

It is always a good option to renew the fuel pump.
Why wait for it to fail and melt your engine at 160 mph, when you can put a new one with a new fuel filter and have piece of mind.
Much Love.

a 4x4 60 trim standard t3 will shed the exhaust wheel at boost levels above 22 psi, the thrust bearing will need to be 360 and the you will need a 7 degree cut back exhaust wheel.By the time you have had the bill for this work you may have well bought yourself a modified t34

Tony, he is from Switzerland and so he cannot legally change the turbo at all, hence why it has to remain a T3, as externally it won't look different from standard .
Matt,
I retained my standard fuel pump, as in good condition, these are good for 400bhp anyway.

Mike if only I could find a girl who understand my "problems" as you do...
I think as Michael told you, yes in Switzerland we cannot modify anything. Or at least without huge difficulties. My car has Koni homologated on it, and it was quite a pain in the ass to do that. So for engine bay I will have to keep the T3, use Roose motorsport black hoses, and its about all what I can do.
I cannot even put grooved brakes, not even thinking of changing the disc size.
This is for a road legal car in Switzerland, but we have the technical control every 2 year so in the mean time (if you don't get catch by police) you can use during 2 years "illegal" parts like what I will do, with brakes, exhaust, and so on.
Well I will stay with 22psi then, as turbo only has 360 but not the cut back mod. So I will even be able to keep the std fuel pump and use that money for something else.

Forgot to ask if I will need the "group A" head gasket. For turbo I will just put the 360 kit on it with a small rebuilt, and if it goes bang, then I will get a proper T3 one !

I had a T3 from turbo technics, it is a stage 3 supposed to be a front wheel from a T34 so will flow more air and still look standard, maybe this is the way forward for you. I still have to get mine set up however as only just run the engine in.

Have a second engine there too, which I will rebuild, so might just put the power on the old engine and see what fail first and then put the rebuilt engine inside.
I don't want really to buy anything for the old engine as I would first to get the bottom balanced but got no time to do that yet, so will do on the "new" engine. Will see if it goes pop

Mike, where can I get that "hybrid" T3 you were talking about which produced 380 of torque (live mapped) ? I don't think my T3 will handle 26psi as it is a quite used unit and it will blow up surely.
