People with zvh engines please read - info req'd
Hi all,
Wondered if you could give me some info?
when running a zvh engine, does the lower cambelt cover still fit back on behind the cvh crank pulley?
I'm sure when my brother in law had a series one 1800 zvh years back, it had the lower cambelt cover still on mounted to the zetec oil pump!
The reason for asking is that having carried out many efi conversions using the modified 1800cvh parts for the crank sensor part of the conversion, they are noticelably getting harder to come by, and having only one set left myself, decided to source another alternative.
I have designed and made a set of brackets and trigger disc that allows the use of all standard cvh parts and pulley, not requiring any additional machine work and no clearance issues!
The reason for the question was i have made one part of the sensor bracket to mount over the lower cambelt cover using the two retaining bolts, and if the cover can still be used on the zetec pump, the crank sensor set up will not only be limited to use on the cvh engine!
No pics yet as my brackets and disc were only mock ups made by hand, but they've been measured up, put onto CAD and priced up for laser cutting and i can say, i was well impressed with the price. I've asked for just one set to be made first so i can then get a price of zinc plating them.
Thanks for any info

Cheers Bomber,
i'll have to get hold of a zetec pump then also, trying to offer a setup very easy to fit which requires no further modding!
The cvh setup i have done can be fitted (engine in vehicle ) in 10 mins, doesn't even require the removal of the pulley
