alright people question time.
going to treat myself to a proper engine monitor for the saff.
but which is better?
Pectel,Secs or Collins?
any info would b welcome

i have secs monitor & pectel mapping monitor,
pectel are old skool but still the best id say

fetch top money sometimes tho

collins monitors are too big & ugly for my liking

secs monitor has warning light (and buzzer output if added) for

water temp
boost pressure
air charge
battery voltage
rpm i think

pectel monitor, it depnds on the model you can get hol of mate, som e have warning lights for either low oil pressure & water temp or high egt

but pectel also do data logging

there are 2 types really,

1 has 1, 8 position dial in the centre and is the version that sometimes comes with up to 2 warning lights for water temp/oil pressure, egt temp etc

then there is the mapping version which has 3 dials,1 8 position dial and 1 red and 1 blue dial, the extra red and blue dials are for blanket adjustment of fuel and ignition timing.

problem being with the pectel monitors so hard to get hold of you dont really get a choice, its more a case of get whatever 1 turns up for sale,

heres the mapping monitor i just got hold of
