Anyone know if there is a way to stop Hotmail resizing pics that you send?

Every time I attach a pic it's cropping it right down in size. I uploaded pics that amount to just under 1 meg and Hotmail reckoned they were 175kb!!

I had the same problem last week, the pics were about 1.6 meg in size, and hotmail was reducing them to about 300 kb, so had to use our lasses yahoo account as that doesnt resize them.
