new engine has been arranged 47k miler with 3 month guarantee (inc. "hard use") getting the complete engine+anciliaries+gearbox etc. for a bolt in/out job

1k for the lot

sounds reasonable jim does that Ł1k include fitting? presumably they get to keep the old one and do whatever with it (recon and sell on?)?

no 1k is for the engine not fitting. the guy will want a few bits off my old engine for that price tho, as theres a few hundred quids worth of anciliaries etc.

well just got news from lennie that the engine is out and there is nothing wrong with the bottom end.

the top end however is FUBAR. cam is snapped and all inlet valves bent (musta been in a and way on the ring, but running it up i the workshop did it in)

new engine arrives saturday morning, hope it will be back in my posession next week
