The BEST £250 i have ever spent.......With pics
This is the best £250 i have ever spent........Suzuki Vitara 1.3 JLX
Because it does this.............
All i have done at the moment is put a huge set of wheels and tyres for off roading, welded the start of the full roll over bar system......
I have ordered a high lift kit ect ect for it so i can jack it up a good 4".........
But as it stands at the minute
Car-£250
Wheels and tyres-£250.......
And the amount of fun we had today was

nope hands up to you fella, off roading is great fun! and believe me running a landy is as expensive as a cossie!!
the older suzukis are even better than some landies as they are so light.
i was up a mountain in the prynees last year in an old sj on road tyres. drove it up a 50 degree slope about 200 yards to platteu at top. amazing bit of kit, shit my self trying to go back down tho, as there was a verticle 1000 ft drop at the bottom on the slope
Tiff check out this viedo of a suzuki, lost for words!!

Id not mind having a go at that, people always bang on about it but i cant imagine it being mega fun myself, done off-roading at Rockingham in an X5 and it was ok but not exactly off the charts, so wonder what im missing as it gets mentioned loads on here.
This is what I did once-

try it in a proper 4x4, something with axles (not mcpherson front struts) preferbly. the less electronic gadgets the better.

But why does that make it loooooads more fun? Obv takes more skill without shit like descent control etc, but I dunno, hard to imagine it being a big adrenaline rush. I need to have a go I guess.

In an X5 you would be too worried about scratching it rather than firing the fooker through 4ft of water and down a slope, slipping from side to side.....
Give it a go, you may like it.......................AND, just for you, they sometimes get a bit of a drift going

Next time we go out playing i will let you know.....
PROBABLY be a place called Avon Dasset on Sunday....£20 and you can play all day...... Do a search on google for it
"Avon Dassett Quarry is an old disused quarry that is used most weekends to host a variety of off roading events. Featuring mud, water, sand, rock and hill climbs there is something for everyone from newbies to seasoned mud pluggers.
The site has a classic quarry look with high sidewalls and a deep central area. The perimeter of the quarry has a track around it overlooking the central area with access routes down into the main area. The central area consists of mud runs, various hill climbs, axle twisters and water. There is a large pond area with marked access points and routes through."
