brownish water in header tank!

Default brownish water in header tank!

just filled up my car with water only and run it on idle for a while, the water is like a brown colour, what does this indicate? ive only just put new water in.

It indicates rust in the water....what colour do you expect it to be??

You should never put just water in anyway, antifreeze/summer coolant contains rust inhibitors to help prevent the block and other parts from rusting.

If you haven't used anything with the water it's normal, but not ideal!

just temporary for now untill i get my new header tank
