Default tyres worn ALREADY?!?!

I have a BMW 325tds auto as my daily drive/mile muncher,
however, i put some new tyres on the car 6 weeks ago, done about 3,000miles on them if that and they are almost bald :O

is that right or do i need my car looked at?

I take it you never had the tracking done at the same time as the tyres?

and you havent fitted uber budget tyres or anything?

and all 4 tyres are the same and all 4 tyres are worn to the same level?

might just be a dodgy set if that's the case if they are all worn to the same level and they are all the same tyres

yes an easy way is to let go of the steering wheel when driving on a flat even straight road(you may have a job finding such a road ) then if the car goes to the left or right you know the tracking is out

i have goodyear eagles on it, and the front ones are like new still, just the rear are basicly bald.

the federals i had on my escos in the summer lasted longer than these.

Just a thought, You could ask to see the tracking we always give the customer a chance to look before we do any trackings, Ask about how it works and im sure they will explain to you??? just a bit of friendly advise cos i hate seeing people getting ripped off by fast fit centres

Seems funny it's the rears that have gone first. Has it had new trailing arm bushes? Sounds like you need a full 4 wheel alignment before you fit any new tyres.

sounds like the rears could possibly be out.

get 4 wheel alignment done as when I did my tracking, they use the rear wheels as a reference to track the front 2. 4 wheel alignment is completely different and ensures all 4 wheels are tracked straight.

are there any named drivers on your car?

someone been drifting in it whilst you were unaware? it is rear wheel drive
