i know its not a ford , but i need help me mate has a megane and he ran out of power the other day so he fitted a new battery to get the car home we got a new altenator and fitted that (that was fun having to undo the front strut to be able to get it out from behind the engine) but he has told me the car has stopped again so im guessing that it was not charging anyone have any ideas
, what to check next

have you actually checked charge rate with a multimeter?

have you checked for a attery drain whilst stood?

no matey how do i do this i have a volt gauge/meter thingy do i just use this ???? i guess just put it across the terminals

people will say not to do this but start the engine whip earth terminal off for a second, if it cuts out its not charging!
