Redkop, I have bought 4 of those HP 530 laptops from Ebuyer this week, they are excellent. Although I have loaded XP onto all of them for the customers to spare them the horrors of Vista!
As for Dell, I put them in the same category as Norton....
Used to be good years ago but now cut price junk!
Far better machines out there for not much more money!
And I would be awfully surprised if that Dell *didn't* have an Ethernet port - can't remember not seeing one on a laptop for a good 10 years!

well, pleasently surprised.... Slim line and hardly weighs fook all.. Ideal for the train The Compaq can stay at home (nice spec..) and this 200 odd quid one can be used for the commute..
And why are people chatting about it being a gypo spec etc and Dell servers...?WTF. Its a basic low end laptop that allows you to surf the net, read emails, word processing etc.. Which, if all you want from it is that... its a bargain..
Was only trying to help a few out as I thought, good deal.. let others know..

Thanks for that.
The only XP edition I have, which I can get away with loading is an XP Home one that I got with my old HP laptop. Wonder if that would work if I got another HP laptop...
