fantastic......amazing achievement.
i believe our boys would do better if they ran in strip trim like this car ( massive slicks etc ).

Seems pretty slow for a drag car, what actual record does it hold? A fwd class one, or just quicker than others of the same make?
cool car either way though

Dan, in this country people tend to be on road tyres and a fundamentally road car with their FWD cars.
Slicks on a door slammer in the 8s isnt unusual FWD in other countries.

Great going for a Fiesta
Only a few fwd cars in this country running faster, James Hodson's Golf and Andy Nicholls (sp) Rover were into the low 10's on slicks and I think that Type R civic is in the 10's too.
Probably a few others I've not seen but there isn't a Ford anywhere near the 11's yet so well done

IIRC James Hodson took nearly a second off his PB after going from 888's to MT Slicks, shows the gains from using them.

Andy Nichols did a 10.2 at Pod last year in his FWD Rover ZR
Its on You tube as I filmed it, and was there with him helping out.
New spec will see 9's for sure this year

Think Andy Nichols holds the European Record for a Street Legal, (Tax, Mot'd and insured), FWD in both Petrol and Diesel Classes
He also has a Golf Mk 2 1.9TDi with 300bhp that does silly times

Only one I ever saw in the high 11s was that timing error at TOTB for paul johnsons fiesta, where it got 2 seconds quicker on the quarter and had a zero seconds 60ft time, lol
Other than that, its all high 12s that Ive seen.

Christ, that really IS impressive if you are pulling a 11.1 on similar traction to road tyres on a UK track.
2 seconds 60ft and going onto 11.1 means it must have some MONSTER power, what was the terminal? 135+ Im guessing?!
