I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!
My two pussies................. both 14 year old british short hairs............... the biggest one (who weighs over a stone and has done for the past 8 years or so) 
has been completely blind for the last two years, she is still very happy though, came about as the result of a stroke.
And my koi pond that was finished last spring................. absolutely love sitting out on a summers night and watching the fish, SOOOOOOOOOOOO relaxing
keeping koi is not cheap though

We have 2 cats. We had them from when they were 8 weeks old
Our Tony when he was still a kitten:
