i got some spare wheels with non road legal slicks, just wondering if anyones tried using them on the ring or not ?

i know the law ect, just wondering if anyones got away with it or not ?

with the length of the circuit surely there would be a possibility of damper patches in places which you could come unstuck on?

why would you want to even try? if you have an incident of any kind you will be in a whole heap of shit (apart from the one that you'll be driving ) and what do you stand to gain? a quicker laptime that you can brag about down the pub?

i can't see the point of it at all, as it won't make it easier to drive around. quite the opposite, as you have less warning of the approaching limit as i understand the behaviour of slicks (never driven with them).

ive got a set of wheels ALREADY with cut slicks on it intended for track use so was thinking out loud,,,,,, not had the time to use them just yet hence me thinking as a idea !

unless you have done loads of laps of the ring you probably wont even get the most out of a set of wets far less slicks.
