Default Cheque clearance times, Natwest?

Can anyone confirm how long it takes a cheque to clear now with Natwest, is it also dependent on when you put the cheque in? I.e. Before or after 12pm make a difference at all?

I've got a rather large cheque that I want to get put in the bank and cleared ASAP!!

Thanks.

natwest usually only takes 2 days to clear cheques on my current account (as long as its paid in by 3pm) and sometimes recently it has been cleared the next day!
