Default Black Rads and InterCoolers

Is there any advantage having rads and intercoolers painted black? Does it improve the heat dissipation (sp) or is it just for looks. Also what would the rads and intercoolers be coated or painted in?

im no expert but, you sometimes see intercoolers exposed a bit,if they where black and u were sitting with sun shining on it would it not pull heat in like (that dam colour shite your hotter in a black tshirt than in a white one in the sun), im curious as well

black radiates heat better, but it's irrelevant really as the heat transfer is done be conduction through convection on an intercooler.
