escort van problem!
escort van mk4 1.8 diesel non turbo.
right, my van is draining it's battery in less than 6 hours. on saturday i drove to work with no problems atall. then 4 hours later i went to start it ready to drive home and i had nothing atall. so i jump started it and took it straight to get a new battery. i fitted the new battery on sunday and drove the van most of the night untill 12.30 ish. then at 7 this morning its dead again.
i have traced most of the wires to see if there's any loose, earthing out ect but i realy dont know what to do next. the alternator is charging as there's no light on the dash and after turning it off it will start again, but drains very quickly and after a short while it wont start due to the battery being low again.
i hope this makes sense and any help or advice would be great. thanks
