anyone help with this query?
my ex's dad is selling his Sierra XR4x4 and im interested in it but i am tyrying to get to the bottom of something. He said it has a stamp on the inner wing from Ford saying 'no warranty supplied'. Why would it have this? He said its always been an essex car and he used to be old bill and checked if it was on the police records as being used by them at some point but nothing.
Also, the guy he bought it off has fitted 321 diffs or something??? Is that good?
I intrigued cos i like cars that have something interesting about them
cheers

They also fitted this disc to cars returned under warranty, as well as the other reason scited, warranty returns are not allowed to be resold as new, so ford sell at auction with no warranty.
The diff/S are VERY unlikely to have been changed since it would of course involve TWO diffs, easy enough on the rear but not the front one, as no demand for these really .

i'm currently breaking a sierra with the same plate riveted to the vin plate
upon closer inspection it does seem to have had new front turrest welded in as they are different to the ones i have seen in the past
as for the diffs, 321?
look on the diff and see if there is a tag telling you the ratio, ford did a whole load of different rears but only 2 different sets of fronts, the 3.92:1 and the 3.62:1 version
