I always thought 6R4's arches were alot more square than that?

Please don't think I'm picking faults ect as it's an awesome car

that has the DAM kit on it, David Applebys development of the 6R4, i think that kit ruins the metro, but is till an awesome machine underneath, even if its + 20 years old

A DAM4100 basically has all the old magic ingrediants as the normal 6r4, but with a more modern shape.

Too slow at posting Lol

Looks fucking hideous

Prefer the boxy 80's looks of the 6R4 rather than that monstrosity!

Bet it goes some tho

Love it! I delivered a car to Southwood today and wound up buying the minty minter he's had from new in his garage, about 5 times what he spent with us..but that's a story for another day

Was there somethiing going on today round here Matt? I saw a couple of odd bits driving past work, one of which was a proper rear engined Mk1 Renault 5 fully liveried up? AND a mk2 rally prepared Escort? Coincidence?

Yep.

XJ220 engine:- Tom Walkinshaw-developed 3.5 L V6 based on the engine used in the Rover Metro 6R4 rally car and fitted with twin Garrett T3 turbochargers,

they were built by a company a few years after the 6r4's trying 2 make a more moden 6r4! they were supost 2 be rearly good, handle better than a 6r4 and they were a lot lighter using a jag v6!
But id still have a 6r4 over one anyday!

No. The metro had a metro engine, the Jag XJ220 had a modified metro engine in it
