Default Need to delete a dodgy file

While sorting through some downloaded music I came across an MP3 file that doesn't play and won't let me rename or delete it. I'm a bit concerned. Any ideas how to get shot of it? My antivirus and spyware hasn't picked up on it but 'm not happy with it sitting there

Restart the pc, and boot into safe mode.

You can do this by pressing F4 i think, if not its either F1 2 or 3 it depends its different on some pc's but anyway select safe mode and when it boots into this just try to delete the file again.
Hopefully that works and then restart the pc and it will boot back into windows normally

Tried and there are no options for booting up in a safe mode. Found loads of new screens though

Hmmm after a quick google it could be F8, sorry

Its definatly one of the F keys on any windows pc, if you can get into safe mode you should be able to delete that file anyway

keep hitting the F8 key as the pc starts to load, then you will get the option to load in safe mode, failing that do a google search for a programme called 'move on boot' that will get rid of it.

F8 i knew it was there somewhere

If that doesnt work before you try anything else try removing everything from the folder where the file is and then try deleting the folder with the file in
