Mk6 Escort Rev counter wiring
I'm trying to wire in a binnacle with a rev counter into my '97 Escort 1.6i Flight but it's just not happening.
I've been told if it doesn't plug and play you wire pin 4 from the ECU into pin 8 of the blue loom which goes into the back of the dials. This didn't work!
Is it possible my ECU doesn't produce the pulses for a tach or are my dials busted? Or what am I doing wrong?
Is there anyway I can test the dials while they are off the car, also, how can I change the mileage to match my old dials without mis-alignment, bodging it with a drill? How do I go about that?
These are the 2 looms
And this is my ECU
Thanks for any useful help
