their = a belonging to someone

Um, no it isn't. There's is a contraction of 'there is'. Put that into the sentence and read it again. Westy was right in the first place!

How is it? In the context he worded the sentence surely it's just 'theres'?

Now you've made me question weather or not I'm right

"theres" isn't a word. It would be "there's", as in 'there is'.

If it's possessive, it's "theirs" with no apostrophe.

Now I've given it some more thought, I may be inclined to agree with you

I always thought you could have 'theres' in the same way you can have 'theirs' but as you said I suppose it's always 'there is'

This thread is cracking me up. When i read the first post i thought to myself "How the fuck has this gone on for 3 pages" but now all has become clear.

Here's one for you:

in to and into.

Also is atall a proper word? I'm sure it gets used in conversation but when it's written down it just doesn't look right. Example: "I can't see why they need to wear burkhas, infact i can't think of one good reason atall unless being ugly is a good reason".

It isn't a word, it's two words - at all.

you forgot to correct the 'your' into 'you're'. is that ironic as well? or just lazy or too stupid to notice?

We also start sentences with capital letters which you have failed to notice and also action yourself.

How many times did you re-read what you wrote to be extra sure you hadn't made any mistakes?

I'd say not. People overuse commas IMO. You could put one after 'notice' and it'd still make sense, but it makes sense as is.

People that don't pronounce their "t"s when they speak.

Butter = buh-er.

But = buh.

When was the last time you saw someone ineloquent in a well paid job? Of course there are exceptions [all the Essex boys that work in the city for a start ] but on the whole, leaders of industry and the country don't speak like gutter snipes.
