Default any Renault mechanics in the house?

basically on a renault diesel van, (same ones as the vauxhall)

a friend has changed a head on the above and he cant get it too fire, we dont think the pump is pulling the diesel through.

does these vans have pumps in the tank as well?

any tips from anyone? we've bleed the system but need some help

I remember working on one with a mechanic friend of mine that hand a squeezable pump under the bonnet. That was a Kangoo dci70 I think with a turbo. that had its head and bottom end changed as its big ends went.

dont know if thats any help though.

not sure; he asked me on the phone tonight.

its a Renault Trafic (i think) turbo diesel

if its common rail,id assume it would have an electric lift pump.....

well,has it got fuel to the injection pump?

maybe the fuel cut has been tripped? maybe a wire off so not triggering fuel pump....


sooooo many could be things
