battery light comes on wen i start the car but dont go off til i rev it 2 vout 2000 rpm. any help cheers chas.

Magic Numbers

Earthing could be slightly shoddy

Alternator could be faulty

Battery could be knackered

Check all your connections to the battery

If all else fails get it to a Sparky and see whats happening

Best idea as its quite dark out there

Lazy regulator that's all some go like that, will no doubt soldier on for years, but won't hurt to check connections anyway.

my 3 door has done this since ive had it,its had 3 batterys and alternators since,still does it,but never fails to start so confident the batt and alt are fine,will check earth belts

reminds me of the old transits they all done it

Volt drop the alternator positive and negatvie sides. you should see ZERO!
