what sort of q's wud i need to get into this, i have a good basic understanding of cars, like erm brakes, suspension, exhausts engine parts iv done most of that, but need qs to get into the job what sort wud i need?

i just applied for mine after school but you will prob need good grades from school and a background or understanding of it hope that helps

I'm doing my training at college atm, Get yourself the Hillers Fundaments of motor vehicle technology it covers all vehicle systems and very detailed too.

Try you local college see if they do any courses.

bollox u go into a garage with a half decent gaffer tell him your looking for a job in motor mechanics u have a good understanding of basic mechanicals your a quick learner know how to boil a kettel how to work a brush lol just reel off loadsa speel an your in. u usualy find your average garage is looking for a bit of experience rather than qs. its mainly if u show your keen they will take u on for a couple ov weeks trial basis. keep tryin mate if u wana do it u will. thanks tony
