Default Mondeo Wheels

Right, i've got a Mk3 Mondeo Ghia x with the optional 18" 'split rim' ( not really Phil roflol )

Personally altho they look pretty cool I dont think they do the ride and handling any favours, its picks up small bumps and tramlines like a bitch

What other Ford wheels were available for that car that are smaller and look nice?

The 17" ghia x wheels ain't bad. Sqaure-ish 6 spokes i think.

ps. If anyone can come up with a nice looking alternative with decent tyres i'd be willing to swap mine

They are freshly re-furbed with Goodyear f1's that have done about 3k miles

Basically mint

i've got a set of titty x rims if you want to swap
no tyres though

the original 17 inch muti spokes look nice and fill the arches just as nicely

the only thing isthat they run a 205 width

one thing you will have to consider though is that you will not be able to put any bigger brakes on utilising multi pot calipers as the rims don't have the correct offset

So those 17" 6 spokes have a diff offset to my 18" splitties? May explain my tramlining?

the 17's are thinner than the 18's

plus the 17's run 205 rubber where as the 18's run 225 rubber

i did notice more feedback through the stering with the 18's, even more so now i've bolted martins rims on
