Lot of play on clutch pedal
There is a lot of play on my XR4x4 24v clutch pedal. You have to push the pedal right to the floor to fully release the clutch.
What causes this?
If i remember rightly when my brother had the car he had to get the pedal box replaced as the ratchet had gone. Is this the same problem again? What causes it?
Cheers

Is it possible to replace just the rachet? After a quick search it seems it is. How difficult wld this be?
I might change the cable too to be sure if it cld be this. I can never remember which way is best but it's better to put the cable on the pedal first, and then connect under the car?
Or is it the other way around.... can never rememeber. I know one way is easier than the other
