They don't have the cash to spend loads on expensive suspension / brakes and both would get slaughtered by my car BUT they do sound awesome and they have supurb low down tractability.

Martin, what's the header tank from on the orange car?

It looks like a mirror image of a cossie item?

Yes, but I thought the twink one had a domed top.

None of this is remotely important, I'm just curious!

LS2 Escos is as good as it gets IMHO

AWESOME cars

LS2 is actually VERY little weight difference to a YB+T34 etc either, as its alloy blocked and heads.

SIX bolts on the mains caps two, fucking awesome bits of kit, 2000bhp+ in drag trim, and we've featured one with 700bhp on TOTALLY standard internals, not even a new headgasket!

how does a rover v8 drive?

the only rover v8 i've been in was a d plate range rover and it was the biggest slowest heap of shit ever!

how would a rover v8 compare with a standard cossy/rsturbo/tdci focus etc?

quite slowly in relative terms for the capacity imo

my cossie estate in stg 2 trim and my subaru were both as fast as a tvr griffith 500 which ihas the rover v8 but with a lot of fettling (although not the highest state of tune possible)

Here in Greece we have a Saph powered by a 5,7V8 old mustang having an Eaton Compressor, that pushes 900hp that kills!!!And all that with the 1/3 of the amount that a Cossie engine needs.......no comment....)

Only just found this post, they both look great and will sound lovely.
A tuned V8 is a much nicer driving experience than a small turbocharged engine IMO

I've just found the fast car magazine from the 90's with the twins cars in. The blue one was red back then (unless its a different shell). See the orange one around Acocks Green now and again.

Thumbs up esc V8 rear wheel drive

In 1989 a company called rovercraft in maidstone build a escort with a rover V8 , 4,5 liter engine. This was a gartrac build body , with 4,5 liter rovercraft engine , one of the first engines on the motec engine managment system. This car did a quarter mile in 13,83 sec max speed 147,7 mph. for those days pretty impressive.

front suspension Ford Cosworth , rear suspension Granada cosworth , Gearbox getrag five speed , if i remember right of a volvo 264 with a twr bellhousing and a jaguar drear diff.

Power figures : 324 bhp 310 lbft at 5500 rpm
331 bhp 290 lbft at 6000 rpm
314 bhp 254 lbft at 6500 rpm

regards Rob
