I had around 470bhp back then, it was still wheelspinning in 2nd and 3rd gear, hence the short shifting on the video.
The whole car was built in my tiny garage at the bottom of my garden, it hasnt been built by a big tuning company with an unlimited budget.
Ive spent alot of time on the rear suspension, getting it to launch right.
Its a bit too much on the road now to be honest, but what do you expect with 195 normal road tyres lol. It pretty much spins the wheels in any gear, wet or dry.
Ive never had it on the rollers since ive fitted a new actuator, but it was 440bhp @ 1.4 bar. Im now peaking at 2 bar and holding around 1.7 bar, not that i get much of a chance to look at the boost gauge lol. It needs a proper boost controller really, only on a turbosmart bleed valve at the mo.
Although i want to get away from the quater mile stuff really, its getting a bit boring now.
Am also thinking of selling everything under the bonnet, because a nice 2.3 atmo cossie lump have become available.
Id like to do a bit of drifting and some more track days, atmo cossies in escorts go really well, as seen at last years track day at brands, they were keeping up with most of the quick cossies around the track.

Ive yet to try it mate, but will do this year hopefully. Will try it on some Toyo 888's or Yoko's ; )
Think it will be a waste of time on my A539 yoko's, they are crap on the road, wheelspin in 4th gear at over 90 mph is a bit scary lol

Thanks mate, Only differance with Terrys car is he is on a ladder bar rear end, helps alot with 60ft times, he is in the 1.4's i think. Im in the 1.6's most of the time. And Darren with the yellow mk1 does a 1.54 60ft on secondhand Avon Slicks.

Thanks again, just wish it could have that sort of grip on the road lol, would be some competition for the bikes then, instead of watching them go off on the back wheel and me just spinning the wheels everywhere lol.
I cant seem to find where the smilies are hiding since the site changed over, dunno where they have gone.

You can get it close, but with the ladder bar it puts the centre of gravity in the middle of the car, thus putting the equivilent of around 2 tonne of weight onto your rear tyres, well thats how i was told it works lol.

The link does prove one thing...if you look at the comments it proves Rod is as much of a total bell end as he seems on here. Proper condescending cunt
