will 17s with the right pcd and offset be ok or will it need some arch work done cheers in advance scott

will be ok on a 16v or williams as they have flared arches, unless theyre silly wide or the car is very low. dont think you'll get them on a normal model clio and be able to drive it without lots of scrubbing to be honest.

My friend has 17's on his 16v and it drives without any problems (scrubbing etc).
Although it drives no-where near as as good as my 16v on the standard 15's.

As said above, anything other than a Williams or 16v model, 17's will be a real ball ache.

Stick to 15s or 16s IMO!
