We've got one at work with the golf gti engine, ok, nothing special IMO

This ones fairly new and keeps overheating and using oil, fucking stinks after a journey

Any common problems with these?

 

Not sure about the over heating bit, but i know the FSI turbo engines do like a drop of oil (consumption wise) and they do make a hellish stink out of the exhaust, like the smell of catalytic convertors when they first cam out !

We ran an octavia 2.0 fsiT Vrs (new shape) and that was the same - apart from the overheating!

 

Your talking about the mk 4 turbo then?

Me and my mate have never had those problems with the N/A 1.8-2.0 engines
