4x4 Cosworth Centre Diff
I,ve been told that my centre diff is worn,is there any way that I can make sure that this is the case.
I,ve been quoted £565+vat for supply and fitting.
So I want to know if it is worn, when driving the car seems to drive ok.
it,s for a 4x4 sapp
Thanks

:O thats a lot to pay for a worn diff..
Get yourself a DOHC 2.0 xr4x4 box (ebay they go for about £50) and change the clutch pin, fork and release bearing for the ones in your dud box. Theyre the same box bar the bits I've said to change. But more importantly they've never had a hard life so should be fresh still.

when the centre v.c. go's the car becomes pretty much rear wheel drive.
if you were nearer to Powers you could pop in & we could quickly try it on the dyno to see if the wheels turn at sensible speeds to each other.
