whoever decided that they were going to put the lower arb drop link nut behind the crossmember so that not only can you just about fit a spanner there, there is too much other shit in the way to be able to turn it is a cunt

changing the waterpump on my bmw a few weeks back, 4 x 10mm nuts to undo, not enough toom to get a socket on a ratchet into them so had to use a shitty short 10mm spanner, took fucking ages turning them, holding the spanner with 2 fingers, trying to get it back on the nut, dropping it, going under the car, getting the spanner, trying again to get it on the nut with two fingers as my fat hand wouldn't fit down

Horrible fucking job. If only i had a nice long 10mm spanner or one of them ratchet spanners. Alas. Its done now but it took fucking ages.

Or the guy that made the bolts just long enough on the rear anti roll bar on an escort mk3/4 so that they were a headache to take out without lots of swear words

i had a ratchet spanner
but there is not enough space to use it when you have to use a pair of mole grips to hold the other end of the bolt that is connected to the drop link

i have pictures and, when i get to the other house i shall load them up and you can all see what the fuss was about

ended up using a dremell to cut the top of the nut off but even then, there isn't enough space to correctly weild it so it took 12 discs to cut enough of the nut off to make it budge
