Default Focus Convertible

Anyone driven one or owned one? As this looks like the replacment for my old dears 206cc.

Reading reviews and all seem pretty good, just wondering if anyone has any first hand experience of here?

Don't do it, theyre slower than a normal focus, handle worse, and leak like hell, you'll forever be in the dealer getting it resealed :P

James, you fail to see its for my old dear! Speed and handeling does not have to be like a Evo lol. will be TDCI version and see thats the best and quickest by seems to in real world. WIll check on roof, as what peeps said about 206cc but hers was spot on. Will check as think its going to be peeing down tomorrow so will test lol.

Yeah shes ok dude, bit batterd and bruised and upset but other than that ok. COuld have been a lot worse. THe 206 held up well done its job.

Will show you pics tomorrow as on the phone.

Built on the same platform as Volvo's C70 but a good bit cheaper and looks ok.

I don't think anyone would ever buy a car like this as a performance car, but ok for a cruiser/posemobile.

Hi Ryhs dont buy the current shape one as there are huge issues with leaking roofs. The new facelifted one is in production now and uses the volvo seals so it shouldn't leak. Many people are taking there old ones back and getting full refunds.
If your mum doesn't mind taking the car back to get the better seals fitted on the older shape one she could save around Ł3500 on the cc3.

If you need any assistance let me know as i work for ford.

I've been looking at these for my mum as well, and the VW EOS seems a far better bet....

K8dohn the car has only been out a year? And its haviung a face lift already? It is a new one shes looking at. Will check about leaking roofs. ATM she seems to be getting a failry good deal but will double check today. She doesnt want to spend that much as insurance has stung her on old car. She has seen this one and fallen in love with it by the seems its a CC2 with TDCI engine.

Pon i gotta admit i dont think i like the EOS dunno something about it.

Maria i would love here to get the 1 series but its going to be way out of her budget

The VW EOS is alot better car and allso 3 years or so down the line it will hold its money very well. The focus will drop faster than a led ballon. Allso when you get in and out the focus if your tall like me you hit your head on the screen where it comes over to much.

But end of day its what you like

Looking at deprectiationm chart and most predict the focus to only be a little worse than EOS in % of value. EOS seems a lot more expensive for not a lot more, and most reviews think focus is bette rbuilt car. I had quick look inside EOS and for price range old dear could afford it not great especially compared ot Focus. Mind i like a few toys my speced EOS came to nearly 30k PMSL!

Hi Rhys even the eos leaks vw rushed the eos out to customers to get the car out then was booking the customers in straight away to get the leaks sorted. the cc2 is a good car but i think i would rather pay the extra thousand for cc3.
Let me know what price there doing it for and i'll check and make sure its ok.
With the focus facelift it is to the front of vehicle only and its been done as the current focus has been re-skinned too.

Fair enough on the speed/handling bit, bit you have no idea about the leaking one, every single focus cc ever made leaks, and I mean badly, really badly.

As in, you will stay drier with the roof down.
