I've redrilled the hubs on VW's to take 5 bolt patterns and different 4 bolt patterns.

unlikely you could drill the wheel itself safely though.

mind you I have seen old Slot mags with 4/5 bolt patterns....

can be done easily by proper machince shop as long as the pcd isnt to close to the wheel centre,

you could drill a 4 hole pattern on the wheel but i wouldnt recommend doing with a leccy drill, any decent machine shop should be able to redrill the holes on the same PCD. i wouldnt like to say what strength will be left in the wheel tho

ell, when i said to him surly that would weaken the wheels, his reply was "why? look how many holes the multi fit style wheels have?and thier no weaker...." which is the only thing i thought he had a point on....... still not sure though

multi fit wheels will have been manufactured to that effect

its a bit like drilling your brake discs to aid cooling

People who know me will know what I'm on about

the stresses on the wheel will be different to when it was machined with a multi-hole fitment. When originally machined its different to impose a multi stuf pattern then than to fully machine the wheel then go attacking it with a drill.

Like Stu says, bit like drilling your brakes after manufacturing.

Its H&R I am sure who sell PCD adaptors.

you weaken discs bcus they have a higher carbon content from being hardened, so if you drill them it allows the compact stresses to release to the weakest point.

i would have thought that the stud pattern would overlap, not giving clean holes?
