One thing that has juse pissed me off
New cars with low emission - free road tax for first year.
How about the depreciation on the cunting thing - may aswell buy something that pollutes like a crackwhore and enjoy low depreciation

From: Dartford, Kent - Home of the two way one way system.
So basically.........
*Asking the European Commission for tougher targets on car fuel emissions
*From 2009, major reform of the vehicle excise duty. For new cars from 2010, the lowest polluting cars will pay no road tax in the first year. Higher polluting cars will pay more.
*Cigarettes up 11p a packet.
*Beer up by 4p a pint, wine 14p a bottle, spirits 55p a bottle and cider 3p a litre by Sunday.
*Duties on alcohol will go up by 2% above inflation for next four years.
*Winter fuel allowance will go up from Ł200 to Ł250 for the over 60s and from Ł300 to Ł400 for the over 80s.
*For environmental reasons, fuel duty will rise by 0.5p per litre in real terms in 2010. He said he was postponing the 2p increase in fuel duty until October this year.

The "delayed" stamp duty is to allow first time buyers to purchase with less initial capital outlay.
e.g. - if you buy a 200k house on shared ownership or other incentive scheme, then the stamp duty is delayed, rather than paying the Ł2000 prior to purchase.
profesional coutersy stops me taking the piss out of you mate, but if you believe that you believe that gorden brown is a better prime minister than tony b liar

you buy a house aver a certain vaule and you HAVE to pay a certain % of it in stamp duty
which is basicly the governments way of giving them a who lump of cash for doing fuck all

they'll save money on treating smokers on nhs tho

(eventually)
Taking all smoking related illnesses and treatments into account, the tax on cigarettes far far outweighs the cost to nhs.
People don't like that fact though.
Smokers should go to front of the queue, put a lot more in financially.

To shove up your arse?
Sorry for pointing out the way it is
I'd love it if everyone quit smoking, all these banging on about the drain on the nhs, soon find out what the score really is.
Although would no doubt end up a lot worse off as the massive loss of revenue from tobacco would have to be found from all, not just smokers.
