Most people think evos are the way forward after a cossie,so they buy one and realise just how tacky they really are-the interior is ghastly compared to just about anything ive sat in-they arent a long term car usually the affair lasts 2 months tops.
They see sense and buy BMWs or Audi RS-much better cars 90% of the time compared to evo8/9's.

How can you sit there and say that EVO's are tacky....... do you actually own a Cossie!!!
Out of the box, these types of the car are two of the best vehicles you can get for the money and as out right performance cars.
I have had 3 Cosworths (yes not pieces of shit, but two mint Escorts and one ultra mint 500+bhp RS500). For what I loved / love cossies for, for me my current Scoob wipes the floor with these Cossies as a vehicle...... the only thing it lacks is the heritage.
Personally I would NEVER go back to a Cossie (of old), simply because I have moved on and I prefer other (imo) better vehicles. Although I fully understand why people are still in to and prefer Cossies.
I have owned my Spec C for 3yrs now, which is THE longest I have ever owned a second car.

I hope the new Focus is a return to form for Ford as they have not made a decent sporting hatchback for over a decade.

I still hanker after an RS500, an RS200 and most of all a Ford GT. I was going crazy for a Grp4 mk2 and assembled a load of bits......then I drove a 450bhp Cos Grp4 mk2 and that shattered the dream

just thought i would say that i really like my st170 when its not broken etc... but my dads sierra rs 4x4 cosworth (which hes owned for nearly 18 years) hasnt had one major fault with it, until now to be honest and thats just because the heater just blows cold air constantly ---- if you call that a fault anyway
his car is sat on about 109000 miles .. starts first time etc etc
when he went with my brother to pick up his impreza sti my brother couldnt keep up with the cossie ... not only do they look sooooo cool, they still kick ass!
my mum does own an m3 aswell but my dad still drives the cossie over any car we have!

We're all going else where because ford hasn't produce a decent performance car since the Cossie..............and we'll keep going to other marques until the produce something for the real petrol head. Focus ST's etc are ok, they're a sporty hatchback, but not a real petrol heads car.
If they'd produced the RS Focus in four wheel drive with the ability to be tuned beyond the 400bhp mark, then maybe there'd still be alot more of us around.
Me personally........ I miss the comeraderie of the RS Scene, that's why I'm still here, but I don't see me being able to buy a new Ford that will fulfill my quest for a powerful car in the near future.......I'll be sticking with M Power BMW's and might even stray across to Audi and there RS's.

the rs focus was good but its like if they would have done say a 5dr version with a cossie engine etc that would have been ace.
i hope the new rs has 5 drs or i am going to be sticking with my 170

the 3 doors are stunning and probably the best car ford ever made.i had a moonstone one i wish i had never sold.i store a mint white one for a mate i sold it to and every time i lift the cover i smile.
to be honest if i could afford to have some toys-most would be ford......rs2000 mk2,series 1,capri 280,3 door..............along with an m3 csl........

I certainly haven't admitted no such thing! I find MLR a fantastic forum, a great crowd of people and very, very helpful.

I'm guilty of saying the MLR is shite in the past but i've been won over lately, i still honestly dont think its as good as passionford but its still a very good site.
