Saw a white one (RWD saph) about 3 years back that had the bottom of the front wings missing it was that rusty.
Just seen this on Ebay, sure No one would object to breaking this...Lol

A black saph last year.. was clearly originally a white shell which had been re-sprayed black and you could see through the paintwork to the white. Badly rivited on plates and home stamped floor. Lovely!

 

That lad who was banging on about breaking Fiesta RS Turbo's the other day might complain You shouldn't buy in unless you can afford to fix it apparently.

To be honest i havent seen that many rough ones. I know mines not mint mint but i bought the car to use not to rap up in a garage all its life.

 

Oh man, i remember one sat in a garden for years, just rusting away it was so rotten the spoiler 'just fell off' apparently. It was a shame to see the thing so mangled.

I have seen just about every type of bodges rotton, cut and shuts around over the years,cars cut and shut,re shelled,ringers,bent straight some that rotton the axles stands has gone through the floor or the rear beam is hanging off,
frightening really some of the cars Ive had and broken for spares

 

theres a difference though between a car thats reasonable nick thats used regularly and a car thats been left to rot away from no care shown to it

 

how do people let them get so rough! makes me feel better about mine!

These old girls are getting to near 20 years old, if you were thrashed and not showered for 20 years you would be looking a little weathered.

Is sad to see these iconic pieces of machinery coming to the end of their cycle.

looks like 1 we saw when we were looking for our saph it had a foot wide bubble on the spoiler and the head was toast

the man owned a scrap yard and was saying he used it as a dailey driver

 

it was bought as a standard (apart from the wheels) 40k miles in mint condition. the car is still in the same spot but with more dust and junk in/on it

 

all in awesome condition for a Ford IMO.

the worst ive seen with my own eyes was a white K plate 4x4 saph in birkenhead at a traders. all odd tyres, kurbed to death wheels, no coolant in her, oil everywhere, panel gaps you coud read a newspaper through, pipe fell off as soon as i looked under it, dash had more holes in than a swiss cheese, speaker holes cut into all the trim and doors, a right dog - described as mint and up for 8K about 6 years ago when i had my concouse saph - wne tup looking for a mate - what a fookin heap

 

went to look at a white saff about 8yrs ago i was in a garage that was set up in a barn?owner siad it was mint most of the hoses were taped together.every seat had at least one rip/slash in it i went to lift the boot up and the spoiler fell off lol.i did a plate check ang it came back as a 2lt glsi.needless to say i walked away pmsl
