Anyone read the new EVO mag?
How good is the new Nissan GTR!
Pips a Corvette in a drag race...
Beats an Audi R8 as a road car
Hammers a 997 GT3 on a track!
Er WOW
Still looks pony and has Nissan written on the bonnet though

I'm sure that 9ff does 0-60 in 4.5 secs (comparitivly slow) but then once you have gained traction and matted it it'll just sail straight past a veyron

Was reading the stats earlier, so impressive.
0-60 as quick as a Lambo LP-640!
Standard quarter mile in the mid 11s. Performance wise it will wipe the floor with pretty much any supercar under Ł500k!
So so want one for the value/performance.
Lee - Thought its the kind of car to suit you, and thats meant as a compliment not an insult!

I think they look pretty fantastic in the flesh TBH. Esp in Red or Black, and some of the modded ones as TAS looked the bollocks.
Not like ill ever be able to afford one

Stav,
Has the Lichfield one had the speed limiter removed?
The only reason I ask is that the article in Evo had a white one pitched against the Corvette and at Santa Pod, they had to use the 0-100-0 as a bench-mark as the speedlimiter was still in place.
However, around Bedford where the GTR was pitched against a 997 GT3, they switched to the Lichfield one. Now I would have thought that they would have got up to speeds on the track where they would have been hitting the limiter regularly, but this was not mentioned, and the car came away beating the Porsche by 1s....

I know someone who has one on order , and as awesome as it is on paper and looks it sort of doesn't quite do it for me. :s My opinion may change after a drive but if it wasn't for the ŁŁ difference (AND if I could afford either) I would still have the 997 GT3 RS, even if it is the slower track car.

The cars ability is superb. Im curious about the 0-100-0 against the ZO6 though.
the zo6 gets to 100 faster than the nissan but has a huge reaction time compaired to the nissans reaction time.
Still undecided on the looks though, the backs fine and the side profile is ok, just the nose and large plastice areas put me off it.
Wonder what it could manage against a zo6 in a quarter mile as the vet once rolling was beinging to pull away as the times in the table show

I personally love the look of the new GTR (especially in black)
There's plenty of videos floating around, have a look at these if you haven't seen them (Autocar GTR vs GT3 & M3)
1st one is all 3 on track.

2nd one is 'real world 0-60 and 0-100 in all 3

PassionFord Post Whore!!
I am seriously considering getting one, l dont mind the looks, the performance is fantastic for what you pay, 3.5s to 60mph 193mph thats fast as standard and to be considered better than a GT3 thats going some

Hi Mike
Apparently Harry said both cars had their 112mph limiters still active.
As to the car used against the GT3 on the West Circuit....I wondered the same as you...but if you look at the speed trace on page 91 it appears both cars seem to top out about 110-112..... ........quite convenient...there's a video of it here old chap.
The Autocar one is good as well here and here
