Plus Jap taxes, which takes them to £40k on the road.

Last time I checked Ben and Ian were both driving round on Trade Plates or just moody fake plates.

Technically you cant drive an unregistered car on trade plates, but the police dont seem to know that, so everyone does it.

Yes. On its chassis number.

Deffo is to drive it home from the docks at least, with no plate (thats legal, and done it).

Not sure about further than that, but 90% sure it is.

On the road in Japan you donkey .

Everyone keeps quoting the fact that you can buy a Skyline in Japan for £30k, as if it is some rip off that they are charging £50k in the UK. However, that would be like saying the UK price for an M3 is £43k (which it is before taxes, but when you add VAT takes it to over £50k ).

Yes I KNOW THAT you gimp , but everyone keeps saying you can buy them in Japan for £30k, but the reality is that once you add taxes, the price to have it in Japan is £40k, so the disparity isn't as big as everyone is trying to imply (as in saying you can get one in Japan for £30k, but we have to pay £50k). Did you go to school at all - as I thought it was relatively easy to see what I was saying?

I thought Nissan were blocking (in various ways including potential legal action) grey imports unless it was a personal import (and then you're foobar'd for the SVA test as Stav says), plus there won't be any spare parts or dealers geared up for them until next year. Plus other rumoured things that Nissan may do to make it hardly worth the hassle to get an import.

If its a pre-owned car, there nowt they can do regardling legal action.

Dealers are generally clueless morons and better off with a tuner looking after your Skyline regardless of model.

Getting it registered looks a ballache tho, but thats not down to Nissan.

Not sure what other stuff you thinking of mate?

Dont know exactly, but less than most new cars, but getting anything thru ESVA is a cunt these days, hence why nobody much imports cars under 10yrs old anymore.
