Default Reccomended Japanese car importers

Can anyone reccomend a company who imports cars from japan, deals with all the SVA and registration shenanigans, particularly for Evo's and the like?

How new do you want it?
If its 10yrs+ you dont need an SVA, if its any newer its a right pain in the arse and you may as well buy a UK car.

And if you dont need an SVA youd be daft to pay anyone to sort stuff out on the UK side, picking it up, etc as its a mega easy job.

Newish like 3 years old or in the region of.
What dio you mean "its a pain in the arse" I've heard insurance can be a bit of a rip off, what about parts? it would be in the mrs name so hopefully not too expensive.

There so so many UK Lancers of that age I dont really see the point of importing one. Hardly see any non-UK spec ones of that age as there not much point.

SVA isnt too hard when 100% standard, but modified makes it mega hard, hence why almost all imported jap cars these days are 10yrs old or more.

As Stav says above all depends on the car as to whether SVAing is difficult. Standard is easier but some cars (ie - Hondas) can still be a pain to do!! I've heard newer Skylines are a bitch as well but never done one myself.
