Names and badges on logbooks mean nothing mate!
Look at Jase's Saph, proper built car and it's on a Ghia Turbo Technics shell! Ok, not quite so obvious as your car but it's better than ALOT of genuine cars out there, mine included!
If I were you I wouldn't buy a 3dr unless I could build it back up myself from the 4i OR have a stunning one that your obvisouly not going to have any problems with

FFS think about it logically. Loads of cossies even after re-building CAN be unreliable. Your car isnt. Keep it. You know the car and it works well.. Same as a bird really... we all get bored with em and want another one, BUT if they do the job properly then keep em, just spice it up...

halfway through my ECU transplant at the mo, hasn't moved since it broke down on the way to Trax... the pulleys are out of line (shonky american engineering) and it keeps eating the poly belt... gotta get that fixed (once it warms up abit!) and get the ECU on then hopefully it'll be new and improved LOL i think i've said that before

If i get a good price for the 4i then i might, if i can find a good one in my budget
I would of liked the Moonstone one another PF user bought a couple of weeks ago from Reading (E plate one) but didn't have the money
Steve.

i personally find your car far more interesting than a 3dr and thats what i like, interesting cars not just "another cossie"
BUT
what counts is what YOU want not us lot
the car will pretty much be the same as what you have from the driver's perspective. the drivetrain, handling, interior, everytihng will be the same, you will get the same driving pleasure from the 2 cars. the only difference is when you get out and look at it.
thats how i convince myself i don't mind having a bright yellow car, when im driving it i cant see how fugly it is
